    Welcome To Best Friends Preschool

Best Friends Preschool has been licensed for 44 children,
2.9 to 7 years of age through the Commonwealth Of
Massachusetts, Office for Child Care Services, since
October 24, 1997.  We also received accreditation by the
National Academy of Early Childhood Programs on
    December 31, 2000.

We offer full and half day quality preschool programs for
children 2.9 to 5 years of age; as well as before and after
school care for children 6 to 7 years of age.  Our program
provides a safe and nurturing environment that promotes
the physical, social, emotional and cognitive development
    of young children.

Our curriculum is designed to be age appropriate and is
implemented with attention to the different needs,
interests and developmental levels of all individual
    children.

Children need years of play with concrete material and
events before they are able to understand the meaning of
symbols such as letters and numbers.  Our curriculum
fosters learning by enabling young children to touch,
manipulate and experiment with objects and interact with
other children and adults.  This enables children to
develop independence and to  view themselves as
competent learners; and will also prepare them fro the
challenges they will face in kindergarten and beyond.

Best Friends is actively involved with the Wareham
Community Partnership for Children through the
Wareham School Department.  This partnership provided
family support services, promotes literacy and provides
financial assistance to eligible working families with
children 3 to 4 yrs. of age.

starters such as “I’m trying to make a
